There were many wonderful things about Candy, a good-sized, solid, healthy, full-coated black bloodhound bitch. BUT, Candy's greatest asset was just being...Candy. She had a love of life that was a joy to behold. She thoroughly believed that the world is there for her enjoyment, and she enjoyed life to the fullest! She had a wonderful personality; she loved all people and all animals. Candy had a great sense of humour and loved having a good time. She excelled at mantrailing, and it was a wonder to watch her work. It gave you some idea of the natural ability bestowed on this very talented breed of ours.

This "Daddy's Girl" was game for anything, as long as it involved doing it with us: trailing, going for a walk or just curling up on the couch. Fortunately, Candy  passed along this joie de vivre and temperament to her offspring. Her puppies are placed in various parts of North America. They are in Search and Rescue and show homes. Candy was the one who "lightened things up" in our home and made a game out of everything. We were indeed blessed to have this girl with us.
