Cruiser joined the Whitcomb household when she was 6 months old. I told her breeder exactly what I was looking for. Well, I not only got what I was looking for , but so much more. Home came Cruiser, energy to burn, places to go and things to do.
She was solid, agile, energetic and very smart. Cruiser floated when she moved and demonstrated an attitude that dared judges not to give her the purple and gold - for, in her estimation, she was deserving. Cruiser won group placements on both sides of the border and at the tender age of two,in 1999,  won BOS at the Canadian Bloodhound National and also took BOS at a supported entry in the U.S. She earned her mantrailing title at the Nationals in September of 1999 - although it was not pretty - she had so much "frittering" to do along the way. One could never predict what Miss Cruiser would do - she really did prefer to do it "her way"
There was a very soft side to Cruiser; she loved her family, all activities and thoroughly enjoyed cuddling on the couch. She earned her way into our hearts after only being here a few days, and she decided she was here to stay. We totally agreed! She was her mom's constant travelling companion and is sorely missed.
