"Oprah"

Oprah winning a group placement at the
Show of Shows
handled by Emily Burdon

Oprah is always surrounded by drama!!! She came into this world on the day that her Daddy, Knotty, won Group 1 at the Garden.  February 15, 2005 . She arrived a couple of days early and her life has been one surprise after another since then.

Oprah started her show career by winning a BPIS and finished her Championship in three weekends. She also achieved her American championship fairly early on. As her big ‘sister’ Taylor was out showing at the time Opie stayed home, stirred the pot and enjoyed the life of luxury.

When she did come out on the show circuit she became a contender very quickly.

She earned a BIS and then a group placement at the Show of Shows with her friend Emily.

In l997 Oprah won the Canadian National Bloodhound Specialty in Long Sault.

Opie is one of the only two bloodhounds in  Canada that has earned the title of Grand Champion. Her ‘sister’ Taylor is the other one.

Oprah was bred by the Whitcombs & L. Sherman. She is currently semi-retired as  Kitty has now taken center stage. She will be shown at Regionals and Nationals.

In the meantime Oprah stays busy controlling HER deck, HER street and HER neighborhood and of course HER sofa in the TV room.
