"TAYLOR"

Taylor winning BIS under Virginia Lyne, Emily Burdon handling

Taylor was born in Spanaway WA at the home of Jon and Noel Stockwell on October 13th of 2001.

This was the first time I had purchased a puppy sight unseen, having only  viewed photos and videos.  I was not sure what to expect.   However – I was just delighted at the airport when Miss Taylor arrived.  I opened the crate door and the Princess walked out – tail up – strutted her stuff – looked around and said – OK Mom – here I am – now – what’s happening……………The rest is history.

Taylor has had a most successful show career.   She is a multi BIS, BISS and multiple group placing bitch.  She has been the top bloodhound in Canada for three years.  She earned the right to go to the Eukanuba National three times  and the first year was BOS to Knotty – who was the eventual BIS winner that year. It did not take long before “The Princess” became “The Queen”.

2007 proved to be Taylor's best show year with 3 BIS wins, a BISS win in Harrisburg, PA and many group placements. In Harrisburg she was shown by Kitty Burke to a BOB in an entry of 30 bloodhounds and on to a Group 2nd under Roger Hartinger. She followed that by her specialty BOB in the Eastern Regional Bloodhound Specialty with an entry of 59 under Edna Martin and then a televised Group 4th under Mr. Gerry Watson.

Taylor has many wonderful qualities but I have my favourite.  She has the ability to make me laugh.   She believes that life is wonderful and that she is here to make the most out of it – and let me tell you – she does.  She can get into lots of mischief and all I can do is smile!!!

At time of writing Taylor is the proud Mom of 18 puppies - 6 from her first litter - 8 puppies the second litter and 4 handsome lads on the last go around.

Taylor started her specials career in the ring with France Godbout.  France moved on to other things and “T” was then shown by her good friend Emily Burdon.  Taylor is a fun dog to show.  She floats around the ring and has a presence about her that demands the attention of not only the judge but of the crowd as well.

Taylor is now officially retired, but not before earning the title of Grand Champion. To date, she is the one and only bloodhound in Canada to achieve this title.

Taylor looks forward to seeing all of you from the veterans class next year!!

The Queen may be retired but still reigns over all in the Whitcomb home.
