Oprah and Victor were born on the same day (February 15/05) that their Daddy Multi BIS/BISS Am/Ch. Heather’s Knock on Wood (Knotty) won the Hound Group at Westminster. It was a very proud day for all of us.
While I was participating in the celebrations of such a wonderful win, Triumph decided that she did not want to be ‘left out’of the party & decided that whelping the litter a day or two early sounded like a good idea. Fortunately for me, Peter was home & between himself & Tri they did a wonderful job. By the time I arrived home from New York Tri & Knotty had given us 10 more reasons to celebrate.
Both Oprah & Victor finished their Canadian Championships in three weekends & both of them earned a Best Puppy in Show. The next adventure for them will be heading south of the border to try our luck at earning a US title.
Victor headed out to Washington State in September of 05 for the US National Specialty with his two owners – Tammy Arseneau and myself. Victor had a GREAT National. He was Grand Futurity Winner, Grand Sweepstakes winner at the Nationals and RWD at the Regionals the next day. And all this at the tender age of 7 months.
